I had thousands of posts and had been trying to both learn and help as much as I could. Over the next several years I was very engaged with the forum. There was so much to learn, share, and discuss. I was into computers for a while already, but I didn't know much about laptops. I first found NBR in 2006 and I loved the forum for having such a great community. Sorry that I was unable to keep NBR in its original form alive, but please feel free to join our community at I have a community that is purpose built for technology enthusiasts, which of course includes any and all mobile computing. However they did what usual corporate entities do, ignore the human value. Either allow someone to purchase it, or if you have no interest in selling then allow it to be freely accessible by other means. I did make the case to them that shelving the community is a crying shame. I have the correspondence for any admins interested. The talks were seemingly going well, however they all of a sudden pulled the plug. I actually approached the owners of NBR (Techtarget) to purchase the site with a view to keeping it a live or merging it with my existing community. Having been running communities for a very long time, it was a true shame to see such a resource of information simply disappear. I was truly saddened to hear of the closure of NBR.
